Catherine Garcia

Catherine Garcia

Vice President, Marketing

Catherine once thought she was going to be an astronaut and veterinarian, and though she hasn’t yet made the journey to Mars, (hashtag #JourneyToMars!) she has had a life filled with animals – the creatures of this planet she most enjoys being with. Today, she interacts with humans when needed, and has been a part of some incredible teams as a web designer and developer. Before her current marketing role, Catherine worked on the very product that Field59 offers, contributing to the user experience and interface design of the platform. In her spare time, Catherine organizes the Madison Women in Tech (@Madison_WIT) meetup group, is a member of 100State, and is actively involved in producing non-profit live events around town for Field59. Catherine loves film and film music, and has interviewed famous film music composers for an online film music magazine. She’s also gotten up very early on Sunday mornings to DJ a film music radio show for the UW-Madison radio station, 91.7WSUM. And… a LONG time ago, in a galaxy far far away… she read scripts for a production company located at Walt Disney Studios in Hollywood… for free.

While officially the Director of Support at Field59, Jack also fills the role of Interactive Project Manager. Prior to joining the company in 2015, he spent over 8 years working with digital media and communications companies as an Account Manager, Product Manager, and Project Manager at Broadcast Interactive Media. Before his move into digital media, he worked as a journalist in news radio, and was a contributor to ABC Radio, Fox News Radio, and the Wisconsin Radio network. Jack is also an accomplished Barista (and admitted coffee snob), and once owned a popular burrito cart in New Haven, CT.

Combining 20 years in accounting and finance experience, she has worked in various industries from retail auto, salvage and recycling, precision manufacturing, and digital media companies. Karen has been on the ground floor with start-up companies and fits perfectly as a guide for Field59’s business operations. Nathan Cavanagh

Nathan Cavanagh

Senior Engineer

Nathan or N8 (as he’s fondly known to us), has 20+ years in the IT industry ranging from front line phone tech support to hardware and software development. He was instrumental in the original development of  the “bimvid” video capture and editing system which was the precursor to the Field59 products of today. When not coding->testing->releasing new features, or building hardware encoders, he can be found building new Lego creations with his son. He’s also a founding member of the National Dart League (throwsteel.com) conducting and throwing steel tip cricket tournaments.

Russell Hall

Russell Hall

User Experience Developer

Russell has more than twenty years of experience in user-experience design and application development. He sees himself as a user advocate with a deep commitment to user-centered design. He designs and builds tools to help real people accomplish real tasks. When not mired in RIAs, web-services, user interfaces, and No-SQL databases, he tortures guitars and shreds vocal cords making music that none of his co-workers can stand.
